In the images of Melek Zertal, nonchalance is a battle, and indifference is activism. Her heroines have the aura of those who win easily, not because they confront challenges, but because they don't care. They win because they get up, leave, buy clothes, chill at the beach, drink mojitos, and enjoy gourmet food. Seeing the work of the Franco-Algerian illustrator, who studied at HEAR in Strasbourg, one is convinced that norms only matter because we adhere to them. So, we just need to ignore them. This silk revolution, the author of *Sleepless* and *Babyfesse* demands it with a free stroke and colors of depraved softness; she calls for it with great doses of gratuitous beauty and little touches of virtuosity. And we willingly grant it to her.
